Family Reunion in Pocatello - Geyser

After the cave we went to a park where they have this huge geyser.  The Soda Springs Geyser is called the largest tamed geyser in the world.

It was discovered while drilling for a swimming pool when they hit into an underground chamber 215 feet down, filled with pressurized carbon dioxide gas and water.  It was capped and put on a timmer so that it goes off once an hour on the hour to let off pressure.  It shoots up to a height of 100 to 150 feet.
