Joselyn's Birthday

Joselyn is about to turn one year old.  Isaac and Kim had a birthday party for her at DeCoursey Park.

Joselyn with Kim.  What a cute birthday dress..

Isaac and Joselyn smiling for the camera.

 Joselyn opening her presents.

Opening more presents with Dad.  She had lots of relatives there from the both the Stephenson and Swift families.  She has lots of cousins and aunts and uncles.

She played a game where she crawled to several items and the one she picks is the one she might like to when she grows up.  She took the food which represented being a cook or chef.

She got to eat her own little birthday cake.  Then we all had refreshments.

Happy birthday Joselyn.  We love you very much.  You are a lucky girl to have such a great mom and dad.

Mariners Game

We went to a Seattle Mariners Game on Friday.  They were playing the Los Angeles Angels.

Here's a picture from our seats at Safeco Field in Seattle.  We were in the top level but behind home plate so we could see everything.  It was LDS night and we got discount tickets and a free t-shirt each.

The pitcher was Mike Montgomery, number 37.

 A speedball pitch.

 Strike three, you're out.

 Nelson Cruz at bat.

Jesus Montero with a hit.

Here we are in out seats.  Isaac, Andrew, and me.  We had a great time, even though the Mariners lost 3-7.

Softball

We had a lot of fun playing softball one day.

We went out to the ball field at Sunrise Elementary to practice softball.  The children and the adults all took turns batting.  Here's Kim pitching to Christian with Joshua playing catcher and Ethan ready to get the hit.

 Julia up to bat.

 Julia taking a mighty swing.

 It's a hit.

Then we went to the church adult games at the Meadows.  Joshua at bat.

 Rebecca at bat.

 Rebecca running the bases.

Isaac at bat.  I played too but didn't get a picture.

Hike to High Rock Fire Lookout Station

We went on a hike to a fire lookout station last Monday.

It was Isaac, Kim, Joselyn and I on the hike.

Here we are starting up the trail.  It was only 1.3 miles up but it was fairly steep.  Joselyn got to ride all the way.
Almost up to the top we got our first glimpse of the fire lookout station way up on the rock.

A good view of Mount Rainier from the top.

 Another scenic view.

Starting back down.  It was a fun hike and not too long but not easy.
