Jarom's Mission Farewell

We travelled up to Spokane to go to Jarom's mission farewell. He has now left on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He will be gone for two years to Chile, the southern half, and will be speaking Spanish and teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is Jacquelyn and I with Jarom, who is our oldest grandchild, at the church building right before he gave his farewell talk on Sunday.

We drove up to Spokane on Saturday morning and met them by the Spokane River. This is a picture I took of our daughter Tianna and husband Jim and their six children: James, Ashton, Evan, Dallen, Amery and Jarom.

It was a hot sunny day and it was beautiful there in the park. We had a fun afternoon.

This is the lake there in the park. We rode a small train around the park and saw the sights. This is right in the middle of the city.

We also went to an IMAX show and there were amusement park rides for the children.

One Sunday Jarom spoke at church. Here is a more formal picture of the family.

After church there was a reception at their home. Then we had to drive back to Puyallup and got home around two in the morning. Good luck on your mission, Jarom, we are proud of you and know you will do well.
