Hiking with Malachi's family

***  We haven't done any blogs in a year, so now it's time for some catch up.  ***

Malachi invited us to go on a couple of hikes with them last summer (2020).  The first one was with Malachi and Andrew and Mallory.   We hiked out to an old suspension bridge.

Here's Andrew and Mallory in an old coal mining car by the mine with the nearby suspension bridge.

The second hike was out to a trail that goes through an old railroad tunnel.  It's called the Snoqualmie Tunnel and is part of the Palouse to Cascades Trail.  We had both Malachi and Isaac's families with us.  Here we are at the start of the tunnel.

This is what it looks like on the inside near the entrance where there was still light.

This is what it looks like once you are in.  Total darkness except for a little light at the end of the tunnel.  It was over 2 miles long each way.  What fun.
