Joselyn is about to turn one year old. Isaac and Kim had a birthday party for her at DeCoursey Park.
Joselyn with Kim. What a cute birthday dress..
Isaac and Joselyn smiling for the camera.
Joselyn opening her presents.
Opening more presents with Dad. She had lots of relatives there from the both the Stephenson and Swift families. She has lots of cousins and aunts and uncles.
She played a game where she crawled to several items and the one she picks is the one she might like to when she grows up. She took the food which represented being a cook or chef.
She got to eat her own little birthday cake. Then we all had refreshments.
Happy birthday Joselyn. We love you very much. You are a lucky girl to have such a great mom and dad.

Mariners Game
We went to a Seattle Mariners Game on Friday. They were playing the Los Angeles Angels.
Here's a picture from our seats at Safeco Field in Seattle. We were in the top level but behind home plate so we could see everything. It was LDS night and we got discount tickets and a free t-shirt each.
The pitcher was Mike Montgomery, number 37.
A speedball pitch.
Strike three, you're out.
Nelson Cruz at bat.

Hike to High Rock Fire Lookout Station
We went on a hike to a fire lookout station last Monday.
It was Isaac, Kim, Joselyn and I on the hike.
Here we are starting up the trail. It was only 1.3 miles up but it was fairly steep. Joselyn got to ride all the way.
Almost up to the top we got our first glimpse of the fire lookout station way up on the rock.
A good view of Mount Rainier from the top.
Another scenic view.
Starting back down. It was a fun hike and not too long but not easy.

Ape Caves
We made a trip out to Ape Caves which is part of Mount St. Helen's National Park.
Here's the whole group at the mouth of the caves. There was me and Joshua with his family and Doranda with her family.
Down in the cave it was pretty dark. We had lots of flashlights.
Ape Caves is a lava tube cave and was pretty big in some areas.
Rebecca with Julia.
Penelope and Julia.
One part of the cave got pretty narrow and the end and you had to crawl to get through it. Here's Scarlett going in.
Joshua and Rebecca and Julia.
This is the ladder at the end to exit the cave. The lava tube cave goes for miles and we were in there several hours exploring in the dark. Penelope, Tucker, Ethan, Julia, Christian.
Light at the end of the tunnel. We had tons of fun.
