Joshua's Family

Joshua and his family is down from Alaska for a visit over the summer.
Joshua and wife Rebecca and their youngest child Elliott.

Oldest child Julia, looking pretty by the flowers.

 Ethan always has a smile.

 Christian having a good time.

Elliott again playing frisbee.  He's always getting into things.

Julia and Ethan stayed with us for a week and then Christian and Elliott stayed with us a week, while Joshua and Rebecca were in Spain.

Julia climbed a little too far up this tree and looks a bit worried.

It got super hot on us, in the 90's, and the water sprinkler was a favorite of Christian and Ethan.

We got to take Ethan with us to Amery's graduation and spent a weekend in Spokane with Tianna's family.

Baby Elliott in a play car.

Julia made a wall of dominoes.

 Corn-man with Julia and Christian.

Julia and Ethan up in the loft.  They climbed up all by themselves.

Julia having fun at Amery's graduation.

 Ethan practicing karate.

Enjoying the nice weather out on the back deck.

Julia holding her little cousin baby Leon.

We went for a picnic out to Wildwood Park and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.

Julia following a little tin boat down the stream.

Joshua and Christian in the stream.

All three following their boats down the stream.

Christian on a play house during a visit to Doranda's.

Julia by the ponds.  We're having a lot of fun getting to spend so much time with them.

Tucker's Birthday

Tucker turned six years old and we went to his birthday party.

Tucker wanted a Ninji warrior birthday party.  It was great fun.

Tucker only invited Ninji warriors to his birthday party, friends from school and relatives.

Three fierce Ninji warriors came from the distant lands of Alaska.  They are his cousins - Julia, Ethan, and Christian.
Two other famous Ninji warriors came from Lakewood.  They are also his cousins - Andrew and Mallory.

Doranda and Bob made lots of Ninji games for them, like this obstacle course of strings under the trampoline to navigate through.

Tucker with a climbing rope and his buddy Ethan.

Mallory and Tucker with their fighting sticks.

Finally it was time for refreshments after playing so many Ninji games.

Doranda made a Ninji cake for Tucker.

The food was just right for Ninji warriors - Ethan, Christian, Penelope, and Mallory.

This picture has a granddaughter from Doranda's family, Malachi's family, and Joshua's family.

Finally it was time for presents, which part Tucker enjoyed very much.  Happy Birthday Tucker, we love you.  You make a great Ninji warrior.

Amery's Graduation

Jacquelyn and I got to attend our granddaughter's graduation from High School.

Amery graduated from Mead High School.  She had a very high grade point average and graduated with honors.

Graduation was at the McCarthey Athletic Center at Gonzaga University.  Here's Amery before receiving her diploma.

Amery after just receiving her diploma, now a high school graduate.

 Amery and Tianna.
This is an unusual picture but I just loved their smiles.

The whole family.  We are proud of you Amery.

Miami

We spent a few days in Miami, Florida while waiting for our flight to Peru.  We had a lot of fun there and there was plenty to see and do.
Beautiful weather the whole time.  Lots of sun.

This is the famous South Beach part of Miami Beach.

We would take a bus from our hotel to the transit station where we could catch the commuter metrorail straight to downtown Miami.  In downtown was an automated tram called the Metromover to get around downtown.  There we signed up 48 hours on the Big Bus of Miami where you could get on and off stops as you wished.  We saw downtown Miami, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, and Little Havanna.

 Skyline of Miami.

Art deco buildings.

 Holocast memorial.

 Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables.

 Inside the Biltmore.

Statue to Christopher Columbus.

Miami Heat Coliseum.  They were right in the middle of the NBA playoff when we were there.

My favorite place at Bayfront Park where we spent extra time in public lounge chairs enjoying the weather in nice shady breezy spots.

We took a tour out to the Everglades to ride the airboats.

This was our airboat to travel through the grassy everglades.

 Alligators at the park.

Alligators in the wild.  I love alligators.

 Jacquelyn by a mango tree.

Me taking a stroll under the mangos.  I really like Florida.
